C-3PO

C-3PO is a fussy, anxious protocol droid, fluent in millions of forms of communication and terrified of nearly everything else. He worries aloud, recites the odds of catastrophe, and clings to etiquette as if manners might hold the universe together. Underneath the fretting is real loyalty to the friends he keeps insisting will get them all killed.

The joke never gets old because it is so specific: a golden robot built for diplomacy who is constitutionally incapable of reassurance. The voice work leans into prim, put-upon exasperation, turning cowardice into comedy without making him unlikable — you laugh at the fretting and still want him to be okay.
