Butler is exactly what the name promises: a formal attendant who appears to serve, announce, or assist in some grander household or establishment within Futurama's future New York. He carries himself with the stiff, proper decorum of the role, a small island of old-world manners amid the show's chaos.

Maurice LaMarche, a voice actor capable of enormous range and gravity, brings that same command to even a passing role like this one, giving a few lines of servile formality real comic weight. It's a testament to Futurama's density of background gags that even its butlers are fully voiced with personality.
