Burt Goodman

Burt is Irving's counterpart at Optics and Design, a courtly, soft-spoken figure who crosses paths with Irving on the severed floor. Reserved and precise in his manner, he seems content within Lumon's strange rhythms, but there's a warmth underneath the formality that draws Irving's curious attention.

Walken brings his singular cadence to a man who could easily be a footnote, turning small pleasantries into something charged with tenderness and mystery. The writing gives him little screen time but uses it wisely, letting one unhurried conversation suggest a whole interior life. Walken makes stillness feel like the loudest thing in the room.
