Character

Bunny

Bunny in Extras (2005), played by Gerard Kelly.

Bunny turns up as one of the jobbing extras cluttering the background of whatever production Extras is currently sending up, another face in the crowd angling for a line, a better seat at lunch, or just to be noticed by someone above their station. Small ambitions, loudly pursued.

The show's whole engine is the gap between how extras see themselves and how little the industry sees them, and Gerard Kelly plays that gap for comic friction rather than pathos. He's a minor figure, but the series is built from exactly these minor figures, jostling and posturing in the margins of someone else's shot.

Ian 'Bunny' Bunton is a supporting character in the television series Extras. He is a recurring character throughout the series, first appearing in the first season episode 'Les Dennis' and briefly appearing in the second season episode 'Sir Ian McKellen' and the Christmas Special. He is portrayed by Scottish actor Gerard Kelly.
