Build-A-Bot Leela

A store-bought approximation of Leela, assembled rather than born, she wears the one-eyed face and the attitude of the real thing without quite having lived any of it. She talks like Leela, poses like Leela, and exists because someone wanted a Leela of their very own to take home.

The joke is entirely in the gap between original and knockoff, and Tress MacNeille — who already gives Futurama's background world its texture — plays the copy with just enough flatness to be funny without curdling into cruelty. It's a quick, disposable bit that lands because the impression is close enough to sting.
