Bronn

A sellsword with no house and fewer illusions, Bronn fights for whoever pays best, starting with Tyrion Lannister after a chance encounter puts a blade in his hand and a champion's fee in his future. He is blunt, mercenary, and entirely unromantic about honor, war, or the noble houses that wage them.

Jerome Flynn plays him with a dry, unbothered ease that cuts through Westeros's endless posturing about lineage and duty. Bronn says the quiet part out loud, and the show uses him as a corrective to everyone else's self-importance. His friendship with Tyrion, prickly and transactional as it starts, gives the show some of its funniest and most human scenes.
