Broken Robot #2 is one of a heap of discarded robots, tossed together in a scrapyard scene where malfunctioning machines trade complaints about their failing parts. She has no name beyond her number and no ambition beyond being heard, griping alongside the others like a retiree comparing ailments on a park bench.

The joke is in the incongruity: a scrapped, sparking robot delivering her list of malfunctions with the exact cadence of an old woman complaining about her hip.
