Britta Perry

Britta Perry lands at Greendale Community College a college dropout turned activist, determined to reinvent herself as effortlessly cool and politically righteous. She joins the Spanish study group mostly to keep an eye on Jeff Winger, positioning herself as the group's moral conscience — self-assured, a little sanctimonious, and convinced she's the sane one in the room.

The joke of Britta is that she insists on being the together one while being spectacularly not, and the show keeps finding new ways to puncture that self-image without ever making her pathetic. Gillian Jacobs commits fully to the humiliation — physical, verbal, existential — while keeping Britta's sincerity intact, which is what makes her endearing rather than just a punchline.
