Brigadier General Diane Beckman

General Beckman oversees the Intersect operation from a screen, barking orders at Chuck, Sarah, and Casey with clipped, humorless efficiency. She wants the asset protected and the mission run by the book, and she has little patience for Chuck's civilian panic or Casey's insubordination. Rank and protocol are everything to her.

The joke is the format itself: a stern military boss delivered entirely through a monitor, cutting into chaos to demand order. Friedericy plays it dead straight, which is exactly why it lands as comedy. That rigid authority, dropped into a show about a guy who accidentally became a spy, gives the series its funniest sense of institutional absurdity.
