Brida

Brida is a fierce young warrior found among the Danes who raid Uhtred's homeland, and she becomes his closest companion in the household of Ragnar the Fearless. Saxon by birth but Dane by temperament, she fights, hunts and worships the old gods with a hunger that outpaces the boys around her.
