Brianna "Bree" Randall Fraser

Brianna is Claire and Jamie's daughter, raised in twentieth-century Boston believing her mother's stories of time travel and a Highland father are the stuff of fantasy. Bright, headstrong and academically gifted, she's forced to confront the truth of her origins and decide what she's willing to risk to know the man she's descended from.

Skelton has to play the audience surrogate for a truth we already know and she doesn't yet — the slow dawning of belief is the whole performance, all wariness and stubborn intelligence rather than easy wonder. Brianna inherits both parents' will without either's experience, and Skelton makes that gap between resolve and readiness feel entirely her own.
