Breakdancing Teacher

A background instructor glimpsed in New New York, teaching the near-lost art of breakdancing to whoever wanders into his class. He treats an outdated pastime with total seriousness, all earnest enthusiasm and demonstrative spins, oblivious to how quaint the whole enterprise looks a thousand years on.

He's a quick sight gag built on commitment rather than dialogue: the joke is entirely in how sincerely he approaches something so trivial. David Herman, a Futurama utility player voicing all sorts of incidental oddballs, gives him just enough conviction to make the bit land and then vanish.
