Branch Woodsman

A minor figure glimpsed in the background of Futurama's sprawling world, the Branch Woodsman is one of the many odd, single-purpose characters the show conjures for a joke and moves past. He exists to serve whatever brief bit of business the scene requires, gone as quickly as he arrives.

David Herman, who voices a whole roster of Futurama's incidental cranks and workers, brings the same deadpan commitment to this fleeting role that he gives the show's more prominent side characters. It's a small pleasure of the series: even a nothing part gets a fully committed voice behind it.
