Bouncer

Bouncer works the door, sizing up whoever wants in and deciding, usually with blunt finality, whether they're getting past him. He's built for the job: unimpressed, immovable, and not interested in explanations or excuses from the people he turns away.

David Herman gives the character a flat, no-nonsense delivery that makes even a few lines land as a tiny comic wall — the joke is always that nothing gets through him, dialogue included. It's a small role that works precisely because it never tries to be more than what a bouncer is.
