Bloodhair

Bloodhair is a Danish warlord who rules by terror, a hulking presence with braided red hair who treats violence as a kind of sport. He commands loyalty through fear rather than affection, delights in humiliating rivals, and sizes up Uhtred as either a threat to crush or a tool to use.

Ola Rapace plays him with a physical relish that never tips into cartoon villainy — there's real intelligence behind the menace, a sense that his cruelty is calculated rather than random. He gives the early Danish world its teeth, making the stakes of Uhtred's world feel immediate and dangerous from the first encounter.
