Bhal-Shebah appears deep within the dungeon of Knightmare, one of the many strange guides and obstacles the show's young adventurers stumble upon as they feel their way through unseen chambers. Cloaked in mystery and theatrical menace, this figure trades in riddles and half-truths, offering help that always comes with a price.

Bill Cashmore, who brought several of the show's most memorable grotesques to life, gives Bhal-Shebah the kind of hammy, committed strangeness that made Knightmare feel genuinely unpredictable to its child audience. The low-budget staging never undercuts the performance — if anything it sharpens it, forcing pure voice and presence to do the unsettling work.
