Beta is the towering, mask-wearing lieutenant of the Whisperers, a group that moves among the dead disguised as one of them. He speaks in a low, distorted growl, rarely raises his voice, and enforces the group's brutal order without visible emotion. His loyalty belongs entirely to Alpha, and his purpose is her will.

Ryan Hurst turns sheer physical scale into something eerie rather than merely menacing — the stillness in his posture makes the character's occasional bursts of violence land harder. The writing keeps him mostly silent and masked, so every scrap of voice or unmasked expression becomes a clue to a person buried under discipline and grief.
