Bernella turns up as one of the many one-scene faces that populate Futurama's crowded 31st-century New New York, the kind of character who exists to deliver a line, sell a joke, or fill out a room before the story moves on to Fry, Leela, and Bender.

Tress MacNeille is one of animation's great utility players, and a role this small is where her craft actually shows: a distinct voice built fast, with no time to lean on a running gag, that still lands its moment before the scene cuts away.
