Benny Fazio

Benny is one of Christopher's crew, a young soldier trying to earn his stripes in the North Jersey mob under Tony Soprano's orbit. He's eager, a little sloppy, prone to petty schemes and small-time hustles, and hungry to move up without quite having the discipline the life demands.

The Sopranos is full of guys like Benny — not headline players but the texture of the organization, and the show trusts us to find that texture interesting. Casella plays him with a schlubby, striving energy that makes his ambitions feel small and human rather than menacing, which is exactly the point.
