Bender's First Born Son

He is one of the identical coin-operated children Bender produces after an ill-advised bit of gender-bending science, a small robotic boy eager to please and utterly unaware of how strange his own existence is. He calls Bender 'Mom' with total sincerity, which is funniest precisely because Bender has no idea what to do with that.

The joke is structural rather than verbal: an entire brood of cheerful, identical sons dropped onto a character built around selfishness. Tress MacNeille gives the kid a bright, guileless voice that never winks at the absurdity, which is what makes Bender's discomfort land. It's a tidy, efficient bit of parody about parenthood wearing a sci-fi costume.
