This is the voice behind the Bend-Aid charity broadcasts on Futurama, a booming pitchman who narrates robot suffering with the plummy, overproduced sincerity of a real-world telethon host. He exists in ad-break interludes, laying on guilt and uplift in equal measure while the camera lingers on rusted, oil-starved robots.

John DiMaggio's delivery is the whole joke: he plays the parody completely straight, hitting every telethon cliché — the catch in the voice, the swelling reverence — so precisely that it skewers charity-ad sentimentality without ever winking at the audience. It's a tiny role that lands entirely on tone and timing.
