Ben Rodriguez turns up as one of the many odd faces drifting through Futurama's 31st-century New New York, a small presence in a universe built almost entirely of them. He exists at the edges of the main cast's chaos, present in a scene rather than driving it, sketched with the show's usual quick, offhand humor.

What makes a blink-and-you'll-miss-him figure like this worth noting is the voice behind him: Phil LaMarr, already doing heavy lifting elsewhere in the show, brings the same comic precision to even the smallest line reads. Futurama's gift is treating throwaway characters with real craft, and that care shows here too.
