Michael Emerson plays uncertainty like a weapon, letting small hesitations and mild manners make you lean in rather than look away. The writing keeps his claims just plausible enough to unsettle, and Emerson finds the menace in stillness itself, turning a supposedly minor prisoner into someone you can't stop watching.
