Ben Linus
Ben Linus in Lost (2004), played by Michael Emerson.
He turns up as Henry Gale, a rattled prisoner in the hatch who insists he's an ordinary man who crashed his balloon on the island. Soft-spoken and unassuming, he watches everyone with patient, unreadable eyes, answering questions carefully and giving away exactly as much as he chooses.
Michael Emerson plays uncertainty like a weapon, letting small hesitations and mild manners make you lean in rather than look away. The writing keeps his claims just plausible enough to unsettle, and Emerson finds the menace in stillness itself, turning a supposedly minor prisoner into someone you can't stop watching.
Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the central antagonist-turned-anti-hero of Lost. He served as the main antagonist of Season 2 and Season 3 and the central antagonist/anti-hero for the rest of the series. He is a long-time resident of the Island and the former leader of the Others. Though often a calm, eloquent antagonist, Ben's insecurity and jealousies sometimes brought out a petulant, reckless side.
