Ben Caffrey

Ben Cafferty is a rumpled, world-weary political operator embedded deep in the West Wing's machinery, first seen shuttling between Selina Meyer's office and higher powers. Kevin Dunn plays him like a man who's seen every version of this disaster before, delivering devastating political truths in a flat, unbothered mumble that makes them funnier and bleaker. The writing uses him as the show's reality check — the guy who says the quiet part loud, then goes back to his coffee.
