Becky Sproles

Becky Sproles arrives in Dillon as a new girl trying to find her footing, quick with a comeback and carrying more responsibility at home than most of her classmates. She's drawn toward the football scene and its social currency, eager to belong somewhere, guarded about where she's come from, and tougher than she lets on.

Dora Madison Burge plays Becky's bravado as armor rather than confidence, letting small cracks show through the toughness without ever asking for pity. The show lets her be messy and unglamorous about growing up poor and unsupervised, and Burge finds real dignity in a character who could easily have been played as a punchline.
