Bailiff

The Bailiff keeps order in New New York's courtrooms, a booming, no-nonsense presence who exists mostly to announce cases and glower at anyone out of line. He is not a character with ambitions of his own so much as the furniture of justice — until the chaos of the Planet Express crew inevitably tests his patience.

John DiMaggio, already doing the gruff heavy lifting as Bender, gives the Bailiff a different flavor of gravel — deadpan, procedural, faintly exasperated. The joke is always the gap between his solemn officialdom and the absurdity unfolding in front of him, and DiMaggio never oversells it, which is exactly why it lands.
