Heard rather than seen, this is the plummy voice that booms over the PA whenever Futurama stages an awards ceremony, reeling off nominees and categories with the practiced enthusiasm of every red-carpet broadcast ever aired. She exists entirely in the announcing, never the action, sizing up the room's self-importance before anyone else on screen does.

The joke is in the genre parody: an anonymous, over-rehearsed announcer voice slotted into absurd futuristic pomp works precisely because it sounds so familiar. Tress MacNeille, one of the show's most versatile voice players, gives the role a bright, hollow showbiz gloss that undercuts the ceremony being described, which is the whole gag.
