Audrey Horne

The homecoming queen with a saddle shoe and a schemer's smile, Audrey is the sawmill owner's daughter, bored, sharp, and starved for danger. She skips class, hangs around the Double R in a sweater she knows works, and starts nosing into the murder investigation for reasons that are part grief and part thrill-seeking.

Sherilyn Fenn plays her as equal parts femme fatale and lonely teenager, and the show never lets you settle on which is real. Audrey's schemes are funny until they aren't, and that wobble between camp and genuine peril is exactly the Twin Peaks trick — she's the character who makes you laugh and then worry.
