Ariana Medina

Ariana Medina enters Landman connected to the human cost behind the oil boom: a young woman whose family has just lost someone to the dangers of the rigs. She's grounded and watchful, guarded around the Norris family, and drawn into an uneasy closeness with Cooper despite the grief and class divide between them.

Chávez plays Ariana without self-pity, letting the anger and exhaustion of loss sit under a calm surface rather than spilling out. The show uses her to puncture Landman's swagger about oil money, and she works because she never lets Cooper — or the audience — off easy about what that money costs.
