Angus McZongo drifts through the margins of Futurama's future New New York, one more oddball face in a universe stuffed with them. He turns up doing whatever the scene needs — blunt, a little gruff, entirely unbothered by how strange his surroundings are. He wants only to get through the moment in front of him.

Maurice LaMarche can make even a passing, thinly sketched figure sound fully inhabited, and that's the pleasure here: a voice actor famous for booming villains and larger-than-life types finding texture in someone the show barely pauses for. It's a small proof of how much personality Futurama packs into its edges.
