Angry Mom

Mom is the beloved public face of MomCorp, the folksy grandmother beaming out of every robot's inspection sticker and TV commercial. Behind that homespun smile she runs a ruthless monopoly with an iron fist, barking profanities at underlings and her three grown sons the instant the cameras stop rolling.

The joke is the gap between image and reality, and Tress MacNeille plays both halves flawlessly — honeyed and grandmotherly one syllable, then snapping into gravel-voiced venom the next. It's a small, reliable trick that Futurama never overuses, which is exactly why the switch keeps landing.
