Andy turns up in the sprawling, gag-dense world of Futurama as one of the many background faces populating New New York, voiced with Lauren Tom's typical comic precision. Little is made of origin or motive; the character exists to serve a scene, dropping a line or reaction before the plot moves on.

The pleasure here is entirely Lauren Tom's control of timing — she can make a throwaway aside land with real comic shape, which is what Futurama's writers rely on for characters who aren't built for arcs. It's a small, efficient bit of voice work inside a show built from hundreds of them.
