A minor figure glimpsed in one of Futurama's detours into the deep past, this Ancient Egyptian appears amid pyramids, pharaohs, and the show's usual gleeful disregard for historical accuracy. He speaks with theatrical solemnity about ancient customs or curses, treating the absurd future-tinged world around him as perfectly ordinary.

Maurice LaMarche brings his booming, self-serious delivery to a throwaway role, and that mismatch between grandeur and gag is the whole joke. Futurama thrives on background characters getting one perfect line, and LaMarche's control of tone turns a passing bit into something quotably funny even if you can't quite place where he fits.
