Amy Haller

Amy Haller is David's older sister, the steady, exasperated anchor to his chaos. She worries about him constantly, visits him in the psychiatric hospital, and clings to the hope that he can still have an ordinary life. Warm, practical, and a little worn down by love, she just wants her brother safe.

Katie Aselton plays Amy as the show's one recognizably normal person, which makes her invaluable ballast against Legion's swirling visuals and unreliable narration. Her exhaustion and devotion read as entirely lived-in rather than functional; she's not a plot device explaining David to us, she's a sister who has been frightened for him a long time.
