Amy Wong is the Planet Express intern, a rich kid from Mars slumming it among delivery drudges for reasons she never fully explains. She's sharp-tongued, easily bored, glued to her wrist communicator, and dating half of New New York while still finding time to fix the ship when it breaks.

Lauren Tom gives Amy a breathless, distracted energy that makes her feel like the only person in the cast actually living a full life offscreen — boyfriends, family drama, engineering genius — all tossed off between one-liners. The writing never punishes her shallowness; it just lets her be funny and competent at once, which is rarer than it sounds.
