Amos Burton

Amos is muscle on the ice hauler Canterbury turned Rocinante crew, a mechanic and gunhand who speaks in flat, plain sentences and rarely raises his voice. He's loyal to the handful of people he's decided count, indifferent to nearly everyone else, and unbothered by violence when it seems necessary. He watches more than he talks.

Wes Chatham plays Amos as someone who has worked out his own morality from scratch, with no reference to conventional decency, and then follows it with total consistency — which makes him weirdly trustworthy even when he's terrifying. The show lets his strangeness sit unexplained early on, and Chatham's stillness makes every small gesture of care land like a confession.
