Amat Palacios

Amat Palacios enters the story as a young journalist making his way through Mexico's press corps during the drug war years, camera or notebook in hand, chasing the story rather than shying from it. He is ambitious and idealistic, drawn toward the truth even as the world around him grows more dangerous and compromised.

Alberto Zeni plays him with the eagerness of someone who still believes reporting can matter, which makes him a useful pair of eyes for the audience inside a show crowded with cartel bosses and DEA agents. He's the character reminding us that all this violence was also somebody's beat, somebody's front page.
