Alvarez moves through the edges of the story, watchful and quietly held together, the kind of presence who seems to know more than he says. He keeps his own counsel, measuring the people around him before he commits to a side, and gives little away about what he actually wants.

Martin McCann brings a coiled stillness to the role, letting silence and small physical choices carry weight that dialogue doesn't spell out. It's a performance built on restraint, the sense of a person always calculating one step ahead, which keeps you watching him even when he isn't the scene's obvious focus.
