Alina Starkov

Alina Starkov is an orphan mapmaker in the Ravkan army, small and overlooked, defined by hunger and a quiet ache to belong somewhere. When she reveals a power no one believed she had, she's yanked from anonymity into a world of Grisha politics and myth. She's wary, self-deprecating, and unused to being seen at all, let alone as someone important.

The show gives her an unglamorous starting point — invisible, undertrained, more scared than special — so that her power feels earned rather than granted.
