Ali Hassan

Ali Hassan is the teenage son of Crockett Island's new sheriff, one of the few Muslim residents in a small, insular, mostly Catholic fishing community. He's watchful and a little guarded, caught between wanting to belong and noticing, sharply, when he doesn't quite.

Midnight Mass is a show obsessed with faith and belonging, and Ali gives it an outsider's eye without ever becoming a mouthpiece — Rahul Abburi plays him as a real kid first, curious and quietly proud, letting the show's questions about community and exclusion surface through him rather than through speeches.
