Character
Alexis Meade
Alexis Meade in Ugly Betty (2006), played by Rebecca Romijn.
Alexis Meade arrives at Meade Publications like a storm nobody saw coming: poised, expensively dressed, and utterly sure of her claim to the family name and fortune. She unsettles Bradford, unnerves Wilhelmina, and watches Daniel with an unreadable mix of affection and calculation. Every scene she's in raises the same question — who is she, really, and what does she want?
Rebecca Romijn plays Alexis with a cool, amused control that keeps the audience guessing long after the plot starts explaining itself. The writing hands her secrets and entitlement in equal measure, and Romijn never tips her hand — she lets Alexis's confidence do the talking, which makes every reveal about her land harder.》
Alexis Meade (born Alexander Spencer Meade) is a former main character on Ugly Betty. She was initially portrayed by Elizabeth Penn Payne for the first twelve episodes of her appearance, but was recast with Rebecca Romijn for the remainder of the series.
