Alexander "Puss" Braun

Puss Braun is one of the rough-edged local men clustered around the lake town's criminal fringes, the kind of figure Robin Griffin encounters while pulling at the threads of a young girl's disappearance. Watchful and guarded, he gives little away, his manner suggesting someone used to keeping outsiders at arm's length.

David Dencik plays him with a coiled, unreadable stillness that fits the show's atmosphere of menace simmering just under small-town politeness. He never overplays the threat; instead he lets suspicion accumulate through silence and sideways glances, becoming one more piece of the town's closed, watchful surface that Robin has to work to see through.
