Alex Maloof

Alex Maloof turns up as one of the many faces moving through Neptune High's crowded halls, the kind of classmate who exists on the edges of Veronica's investigations. He's part of the social ecosystem she has to read and decode, rarely central but part of the texture of the school's cliques and rumors.

Paul Karmiryan does what good background work in this show requires: he feels like a real kid who has a life outside the case of the week, not a plot device waiting to be useful. Veronica Mars built its world out of exactly these small, specific presences, and he holds up his corner of it.
