Alan Crellin

Alan Crellin is Camille's stepfather, the second husband of Adora Crellin and the master of the household's controlled, chilly quiet. He plays classical records, keeps his own counsel, and moves through the house like a man who long ago decided not to interfere. Polite, distant, immaculately dressed, he seems more furniture than father.

Czerny plays passivity as its own kind of menace, a man so practiced at not noticing that his blankness becomes unsettling. The show gives him almost nothing to say, and that's the point: his silence lets you feel the weight of what he's choosing not to see, and what that costs everyone around him.
