Adult Kevin Arnold

He is the unseen voice guiding us through his own suburban boyhood, narrating the joys and humiliations of growing up in the late 1960s. We never see his face — only hear his wry, affectionate commentary on young Kevin's crushes, family squabbles, and small triumphs, always a little wiser than the boy living through them.

Daniel Stern's narration does something rare: it lets nostalgia and irony coexist without curdling into either sentimentality or snark. His warmth toward his younger self is unmistakable, but so is his willingness to gently mock that kid's certainty. The voice becomes a second character, aging the show even as the pictures stay young.
