Ada Shelby

Ada is the only Shelby sister, sharp-tongued and impatient with the men who run her family's business and, by extension, her life. She's secretly involved with Freddie Thorne, a union organiser her brothers regard as an enemy, and she wants out from under the Peaky Blinders' shadow entirely — her own name, her own choices, away from Small Heath.

Rundle plays Ada as the family's built-in conscience without ever making her a scold — she loves her brothers and despises what they've become in the same breath. The writing gives her the only romance in the show not built on transaction or leverage, and that makes her rebellion feel personal rather than thematic, a woman choosing a man over a name.
