Aberama Gold

Aberama Gold in Peaky Blinders (2013), played by Aidan Gillen.

Aberama Gold arrives as a legendary Gypsy fighter and gun-for-hire, summoned by Tommy Shelby to help settle a bloody feud. He's older, weathered, and utterly unbothered by danger, moving through Birmingham's underworld with a mercenary's calm and a father's fierce protectiveness over his son Bonnie.

Aidan Gillen plays him with a stillness that makes violence feel inevitable rather than showy — no bluster, just quiet arithmetic before the knife comes out. The character works because the show treats his menace and his tenderness as the same trait, never softening one to explain the other.

Aberama Gold was a Romany Gypsy hitman-for-hire, a man with a reputation for being a dangerous savage with little regard for the rules. He was the head of a very old and well-respected Romany family. He was hired by Thomas Shelby when Luca Changretta, set on revenge against the entire Shelby family, arrives in England.
