Ab-Bot

Ab-Bot is one half of a robot legal double act, a parody lawyer who turns up in Futurama's courtroom scenes to argue a case with more slapstick than substance. Paired with his partner Cos-Bot, he trades rapid-fire, deliberately confusing patter that owes more to old comedy routines than to actual jurisprudence.

He's a one-joke bit built entirely on rhythm: the writers borrow the structure of a classic Abbott and Costello-style misunderstanding routine and let it play out in a sci-fi courtroom for maximum absurdity. Maurice LaMarche's timing sells the bickering cadence perfectly, making a throwaway background gag land as a genuine, quotable laugh.
