3-Bit Fry

A blocky, low-resolution rendering of Fry turns up as a joke on video-game aesthetics, all jagged edges and limited color, still recognizably a slacker delivery boy even reduced to a handful of bits. He behaves exactly as dim and good-natured as ever, just squarer about it.

The gag depends entirely on contrast: Billy West's loose, nasally voice pouring out of a stiff little sprite. Futurama loves this kind of formal joke, dressing up a familiar personality in an unfamiliar shell just to see if the character still reads. Fry, being pure id, survives the downgrade easily.
